I visited this expo because (1) my battery charger for Konica Revio KD500 was faulty, no thanks to my nephew and (2) to look at the photo exhibits and latest gadgets.
For (1) mission accomplished, the distributer for Konica (Sigma) has a spare (from one of the camera on exhibit) which they were willing to sell to me. Else I had to get it ordered from the customer support which will take long time. For (2), sad to say I didn't find anything new or interesting after looking at all the gadgets in Osaka 2 months back. But they do have lots of special offers and promotions.
Part of the exhibits where the poster girls on display as seen in the photos below..hahah

At lunch, paid a visit to the Central Library to return a Japanese language book. Borrowed a book about how to raise a happy cat, another Japanese language book and digital photography editing techniques.
Couldn't help but to snap some pics using my palm zire 71 before this whole building will be re-modelled and vacated for the new university. I am certainly going to miss this place, my first visit there was when I was 6 years. Took a long bus ride with my sisters and ended up having "Ice Kacang" as a desert and bookshop treat at the nearby MPH. Soon to-be like the library, they were all gone

Thanks to Todd, I had free ticket (sorry Mike, it could have been ticketS) to the above concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Lee Ritenour, Spyro Gyra and Larry Carlton perfomed on heavy rainy work night.
What can I say..the music was great and as usual, Singapore crowd was lame! I wondered how could the crowd not moved by the groove and sat still as though they were watching a concert recital? Other than polite applauses, it was like watching a grandmaster chess.
Anyway, I enjoyed myself throughly especially when Lee and Larry played "Night rhythms" and "Smiles and smiles to go" respectively. Lee's music was inspirational guitar riffs, Spyro's was sax while Larry was blues and big band (as in his latest album).
With no photography allowed, my palm Zire 71 was trying to capture the moments...albeit the dark lightings and minus-flash....cheerio!

after lunch at the esplanade, these are the only 2 of the art pieces that i have 'stolen' using my palm zire 71.
the damn device set off the camera shutter sound which resulted in a 'nice reminder' that no photographs are allowed for this exhibit..hehehe

The end of the holy month of Ramadan is finally here...and Muslims all over the world are celebrating the month of Syawal which marks a new chapter after the month-long abstinence of worldly pleasures during the holy month.
Here, in South East Asia, we call it "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri" whereas mostly elsewhere in the world, it is known as "Eid Mubarrak"...the only difference is, well....between the Malay/Indonesian and Arab language
As for me, it's the time where my siblings would pay me a visit...(well...since mom lives with me), have lots of food and visiting their houses....it is only a small immediate family gathering this year...perhaps, if there's time, I will pay my other elder relatives a visit..but no promises
To my Muslim friends, "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin" (which means...Happy Hari Raya, and seeking complete forgiveness for any faults or sins or misdemeanour, etc etc...whatever!)
PS: pics are blurred deliberately, to protect the identity of the innocent ...hahah...still learning to be less shaky

was trying on another digital camera which was under-utilised, despite having superb quality (5 megapixel) and excellent macro mode and black & white.
the camera i was refering to was konica digital revio kd-500z.
the subjects for my 1st test were from my living hall, and as usual, my curious cat, Sumoki was also within distance....

enjoy the sights of signs (?!) of Pontochoo-dori of Kyoto, Japan.
It is a traditional night-life district which falls a narrow alley running between Sanjo-dori and Shijo-dori just west of Kamo-gawa. It's best visited in the evening when all the diners, pub-crawlers and love-couples seeking escapades from the daily grind..
on the other hand, opps..i have forgotten about my Japanese word per day updates...so here goes:
â??æâ??ëâ??±â??ñâ??Ã??@(yorokonde) = I'd love too..
katakana of the day:
(ta) (chi) (tsu) (te) (to), take note that (tsu) looks like ¼ (shi), but it has longer strokes.
â??Ã?â??à â?? â??èâ??ªâ??Ã?â??¤?@â??³â??Ã?â??µâ??³â??ñ?IThanks Satoshi-san for pointing up the typing error for the katakana!
ps: if you can't view this, you need to have Japanese fonts installed in your browser
in other note: my car has been fixed (refer to entry on 9 Nov), it looks like new now..but i would rather spend the money getting away from here again...

here is to them
