:: Need to be black ::

: this is me, the real me... :-p::
Even though I am officially on (medical) leave, I have to attend a rather important meeting later in the evening.
Being concerned about business etiquette and not sure if my blonde hair was appropriate for the event, I decided to play safe this time. So, I did the natural thing to do - colour my hair black again, BUT, only temporarily..

The verdict?
It went well and fine, but my shirt had full of black stain to it...luckily I am the sort who do not perspire buckets. Guess the Gatsby Black Hair Spray did a rather good job.

::Euro 2004 is coming!::

The Euro 2004 stars surrounding the mall
My favourite 3 stooges from Brazil
There should be a big soccer ball with this giant poster..
A usual haunt for sport stuff is Queensway Shopping Centre. It was a place where I would get my sport gears since school days for my competitive middle-distance events like Cross-Country, 800 metres and 2.4 kilometres race during National Service.Oh well, I am not as fast as before, but at least now, I can buy more expensive sport gears than before..heheh

Nike is going BIG with the http://www.euro2004.com/ starting on 12 June 2004 (11.30 pm, Singapore time +8GMT) and these promotions goes well with soccer lovers in Singapore

:: The Day I go Blonde!::

well, at least a new colour this time
fresh from bed using web-cam ;-)
Guess its boredom (from the waiting of recovery by the fracture) or Euro 2004 or J-Pop mania, that I decided to do BLONDE! Guess it was way too much huh Anyhow...hair will grow and become white or disappear eventually...hahah.

Oh what the heck! I am not arty-farty ballet fan but a drive along the Fort Canning Park on Saturday Night got the better of me. I thus decided to take a look at the modern art/ballet performances by the Singapore Dance Theatre http://www.singaporedancetheatre.com/Events_BUTSJun.html and was well, uhh...still uninvolved in the this form of arts scene

Even though it was meant to be a picnic by the park-while-you watch the ballet, I stood throughout with cans of Light Coke on my hand. But I do enjoy the last piece, Why Not? which was danced with tunes from the British Rock Group, Queen.

Note: Pics were taken with my mobile Nokia 7200 - pardon the bad light.

:: My 1st time in a Hospital ::

the palm in question..the swelling is not obvious yet
after the bandage by my personal doctor
getting ready for the ops...

I was doing my usual exercise routine of roller-blading at East Coast Park, when I tripped over a piece of wood at the skating pavement...and tumbled!

In order to break the fall, natural instict was to use my hand to prevent my face from falling flat on the ground

Looking at the swollen hands (in particularly in left) and the grazes and bruises, I thought nothing of it, until......I could not move my left fingers.

Realising something was wrong, I skated slowly back to where my car was - some 8 kilometres away and drove (with 1 hand) to see my personal doctor nearby my home. He then suggested that I need to go to the hospital Accident & Emergency immediately. So, I went home, managed to park my car (painfully trying to use my left hand to shift gears), I showered, had dinner and left.

When I went to Gleneagles Hospital A&E, it was confirmed that I indeed had a fracture. An appointment with a specialist the next day was arranged to peform "manipulation and reduction of comminuted fracture of the left 5th metacarpal bone and internal fixation of multiple intramedullary K-wires under image intensifier" - Whatever these medical jardon means

In short, 3 wires were inserted in my palm to ensure proper bone re-growth. So, after lunch, checked in the hospital, had minor operation and stayed a night.

This was my (mis)adventure..hehehe

After the 'Zouk' clubbing trip in KL 2 weeks ago, one place left a very long impression to me.
It is "The Ascott, Kuala Lumpur". It's central location, beautiful and spacious rooms as it is service apartment and the fact that I have corporate rate of 50% off the published rates, make it all worthwhile.

So, see the pics and justify my sudden indulgence, again.

Having 'grown-up' in night scene at Zouk clubs in Singapore, thought it will be appropriate for me to pay a homage to its new club opening in Kuala Lumpur. So, with my close old buddies (Mike & Ritz) we ventured up north to feast, drinks and party @ Zouk....hic....

Zouk is still the same to me, after all these years...wow,..it's been 14 years! since I went there for the first time..that gave away how old am I

Did eat a lot but hardly did any shopping as I still have all the stuff I bought one year ago...
Indulged in spa treatment - too bad, can't bring my cam though... cheers!
